Democrats in power for 5 days - NY Times makes 180 degree course correction

For five years we have carefully followed the NY Times' narrative on the use of force by the USA.  Not once has the narrative included a specific call for more troops.

Question:  What has changed in the last five days?

The Democrats are now in political power.  A reasonable conclusion: If the Democrats are out of power, the party in power must depend on the US Army being ruthlessly successful on the battlefield.  While out of power, Democrats will remain a courageous, loyal opposition for 14 months and not much longer.
