Far-left environmentalists in Brazil and far-left politicians in Brazil love drilling for oil and they love the socialized national oil company Petrobras.  The Brazilian government keeps a controlling 58% ownership of Petrobras.  Brazilis a socialist county with a socialist president.  Most of the drilling revenues go straight to the socialist politicians to bribe voters with government run charity programs,  Democrats are working to create the Brazilian model but they have to choke off successful off shore oil exploration first.  Far-left enviro-mentalists back off shore oil drilling when socialists capture at least 58% of the money – it’s that simple.  Pemex - Mexico-  far-left environmentalists in Mexico and far-left politicians in Mexico love drilling for oil and they love the socialized national oil company Pemex.

Bottom-line: enviro-mentalists are socialist who have an anti-private property agenda.  Wherever the private sector is proposing drilling for off shore oil, the enviro-mentalists hate oil companies and hate drilling.  Off shore drilling is popular in Brazil and the Brazilians just discovered the offshore Tupi field - which contains eight billion barrels
