Plain and simple, Bad Idea Barack and the rest of the far-left were wrong about Iraq, wrong about there being no need to go on the offensive and wrong to claim relying just on a non-proliferation treaty would keep Americans safe from follow on attacks after 9-11.

A Fact: Basra has a crime and murder rate lower on a per-capita basis than in Washington, DC

After three months commanding Multinational Division Southeast in Iraq, British Marine Maj. Gen. Andy Salmon said he’s struck by progress since the Iraqi Army’s “Charge of the Knights” operation this spring and the way Iraqi security forces have stepped up since securing Basra.

Speaking to Pentagon reporters via teleconference, Salmon cited low levels of violence, on par with crime and murder rates in Manchester, England, and lower on a per-capita basis than in Washington.
