The economy is like a super tanker. Right now, we are in the middle of the North Atlantic, in a Cat 5 hurricane. Why in the hell would you flood the engine room with ice water especially when rich people are the engine?

We want every rich person in the world to want to do business in America. Bill Clinton understood how to grow the US economy and he understood global economics. What in the hell are these Obama democrats thinking? While prices are falling, raising taxes (any tax) will crush the economy! Oh great, raise taxes on the rich and the economy stops growing! Just what we don't need right now. Attacking "the rich" by raising taxes on "the rich" and the economy grows much slower. When the economy stops growing the government gets less tax money. As the tax money dries up, the government raises tax rates trying to get more tax money. At that point, the economy stops growing and starts getting smaller. Unemployment soars.

Bottom-line: raise taxes on the engine or worse "flood the engine room with ice water" and we all go backwards... possibly sinking the whole "super tanker!" Not smart!
