Because Franklin Delano Roosevelt had a border-line idiotic level of understanding of basic economics, the USA stayed in an unnecessary, deep, economic Depression for 8 extra years!!! Six years into office, Franklin Delano Roosevelt was still blaming the economic depression on Hoover; yet, New Zealand had been growing jobs and the economy every year since Roosevelt's election in 1932.
