Bottom-line: George Bush's "wildly optimistic" public statements about Iraq coupled with his pride in having abysmal communications skills have done immeasurable damage to the Republican political narrative.  Ironically, with a little luck, the United States may ultimately reap great strategic advantages because of President Bush's policies in Iraq.  However, during a "political journey" like this one, every public official in a democracy should stick with "Blood, Toil, Tears and Sweat" in public...
