Sanford is so toxic his positive comments help to utterly destroy in the minds of 'moderate voters' the very free market narratives presented by Ayn Rand that 'moderate voters' in America in 2009 desperately need to hear and, more importantly, understand.

Let The Observer Journal translate from 'liberal' into moderate voter English::

"If Mark Sanford supports certain ideas or narratives, then those ideas must be a really stupid. Therefore, Ayn Rand and free market capitalism must be bad. Obama's national democratic socialism must be good."
