Why is the far-Left willing to 'die politically' in 2010 for 'health care reform'? -- Why is Paul Begala begging Congress to JAM thru 'health care reform'? What is the real objective? Where's the hidden political payoff?
Obama's policies reflect
who he is: a masquerade of hope and change,
which are his tools for social justice and economic justice forced down the throats of average Americans via
"meaningful legislation" designed to create wealth redistribution.
Using health care "reform," Obama will attempt to finish the job of
the Civil Rights movement to apply positive liberties (what the government can do for you),
to REPLACE the Constitution, which is a charter
of negative liberties (what the government cannot do to you).
Why is the far-Left willing to face annihilation at the polls in 2010?
Obama is committed to social justice and economic justice, with the ends justifying the means.
What could possibly be the long term, political reward to warrant this high risk strategy now? When political power is the main far-Left objective, why risk political annihilation over 'health care reform' in the short term?
Why?
Let the Observer lay out the second order object the far-Left is pursuing.

According to Paul Begala:
“In an op-ed several months ago, I advised my fellow progressive Democrats to support health care reform even if it fails to include some of their cherished goals. Now I'm begging.”

The totalitarian wing of the progressive movement which demands government-run health care reform is a fiasco for average Americans because the far-Left has a second order objective.
According to the
Democratic congressional leaders are coalescing around pushing through President Obama's sweeping health care overhaul.
Their plan is to pass the Senate bill with some changes to accommodate House Democrats, senior Democratic aides said Monday. The procedural route — known as reconciliation — would allow a majority of 51 senators to amend their bill to address some of the major substantive concerns raised by the House. That would circumvent the need for a 60-vote majority to hold off Republican delaying tactics.
Leaders will present the idea to the rank and file this week.

Health care reform is about putting the foundation in place for one party rule. Health care reform has nothing to do with delivering low cost health care.

According to the editor of The Nation writing in the WSJ:
Getting the strongest possible health-care bill as quickly as possible is now key. Passing the Senate bill first, and then quickly fixing it through the reconciliation process, could create strong political pressure for reviving the public option or Medicare buy-in. Passing a bill won't be the Democrats' political salvation. But if Mr. Obama and his party fail, it may well snuff out any chance for reform in other areas like immigration, card check and universal voter registration.

However, back on earth...
The message from the voters of Massachusetts:
"These progressive politicians are too nefarious, too totalitarian and too stupid to run anything important in America, especially the American health care industry. Just look at the nefarious 'health care reform' deals buying off Nebraska and Louisiana. Government-run health care reform is a fiasco for America."
Why the rejection?
From The Nation article above; here's the real progressive strategy:
- Jam at least 51% of American voters into an underclass dependent on government-run health care;
- Massive immigration into the USA of uneducated, poor people, swelling the far-Left ranks of the Democrat party;
- Institute card check, forcing unionization of American industry;
- Universal voter registration imposed top down from Washington DC; so that Democrats never lose a close election again (To stuff ballot boxes, Democrat poll workers always have to have more registered voters than votes cast; that's how Franken beat Coleman. In the new, far-left America, a Scott Brown would be toast; no matter what the voters wanted)
Here's the real objective:
"Democrats never lose a close election again after the 2012 race!"
Progressives are not on the side of average Americans.
Progressives are thinking about unlimited political power four years or eight years into the future.
Directly after the 2012 elections, progressives want to immediately start building an aristocracy to rule over average Americans who will be trapped in a one party state which keeps political control by using a massive underclass that is dependent on government charity programs.
Progressives want to build a top-down, aristocracy in America.
According to TalkLeft:
Paul Krugman urges House Dems to commit political suicide and pass a health bill. Krugman seems oblivious to the political realities. Now more than ever, after the Supreme Court's Citizen's United decision (which also abolished limits on union spending on elections), having the unions firmly on the side of Democratic candidates is critical for avoiding an utter rout in November.
In addition, Krugman seems to have no clue what the House Dems are offering - passage of the Senate bill in exchange for a parallel reconciliation bill that reflects modifications of the Senate bill - most prominently to the excise tax. Krugman's tirade is completely separated from political reality and the actual discussion taking place now.

The unhinged screams by Krugman and others on the far-Left to ram through Obamacare despite the desires of the American people are deeply telling about the Left's true belief in democracy and the real progressive strategy which the Observer outlined above.
"The current strategy being seriously considered by progressive lawmakers is a testament to how large an albatross health care reform has become for the Democrat party."
Why does the far-Left press on, ramming health care reform down the throats of the American people?
Because, as the Observer noted above, progressives have a second order objective to install long term, progressive party rule in America. Americans will do a lot of voting in the coming years but the outcome of every election will be mysteriously the same; progressive one party rule in America.
Do you want proof?
Watch this amazing video of Alan Grayson who is on the far-Left:
“Immediately after the Scott Brown victory, Rep. Alan Grayson (Democrat-FL) predicts on Hardball with Chris Matthews that a health bill will be passed within 30 days by reconciliation.”
According to Mort Zuckermann writing in The Daily Beast:
"He’s misjudged the character of the country in his whole approach. There’s the saying, “It’s the economy, stupid.” He didn’t get it. He was determined somehow or other to adopt a whole new agenda. He didn’t address the main issue. This health-care plan is going to be a fiscal disaster for the country. Most of the country wanted to deal with costs, not expansion of coverage.”
THESE PROGRESSIVES ARE JUST TOO STUPID!
Here is Grayson in action:
According to the Hill:
Liberal groups with the help of Rep. Alan Grayson (D-Fla.) delivered a petition to top Democrats on Wednesday, imploring them to use reconciliation to pass a robust healthcare reform package promptly. That petition, which included more than 250,000 signatures, symbolizes voters' growing frustration with Democratic leaders' willingness to "water down" their healthcare bill, Grayson told reporters at a rally outside the
PROGRESSIVES REFUSE TO ACCEPT THE FACT THAT AMERICANS DON'T WANT ONE PARTY RULE!
According to the Huffington Post:
Health care reform advocates are concerned that passing a scaled-back version of reform legislation -- an option being considered by President Obama and Democratic Party leaders -- could end up playing into the hands of Republican electoral politics.
On Thursday, House Democrats debated two ways of getting a health care reform bill passed. The first is to pass the Senate's bill -- though only on the condition that additional reforms would be tackled in a separate filibuster-proof bill, to be passed through a process called reconciliation. The second approach is to pare down the package --stripping it to its unobjectionable core (insurance regulation, money to help people buy care, etc.) -- and use that as a building block for future legislation.
That the latter strategy is being seriously considered by progressive lawmakers is a testament to how large an albatross health care reform has become for the party.

According to Rasmussen Reports:

The Iraq war was an albatross for the Republican party.
Health care reform is much worse than an albatross for the Democrat party. Average Americans are slowly learning the true progressive agenda for America. Health Care Reform is the new third rail of American politics!
According to Paul Begala:
This is our last, best shot. After our failure in 1994 it took 16 years before another president and Congress were bold enough to take on the challenge. If we fail now it won't be just 16 years -- or even 36. If we fail now, I doubt anyone old enough to read this column will livelong enough to see universal health insurance.
