“Let’s tell the truth.  Mr. Reagan will raise taxes, and so will I.  He won’t tell you.  I just did," Walter Mondale said in 1984.  Three months later, Mondale lost 49 states.  From that day forward, liberals have been lying about raising taxes on every American for 26 long years.  Conservatives suffered because the Bush family refused to confront the Democrat lie.  Bush I (read my lips) and Bush II (mission accomplished) actually raised taxes, blurring the difference between progressives and conservatives.  Because of Obama's insane spending levels, democrats are going to be taxing the homeless; raping the middle-class and enslaving the rich just to pay for Obamacare; not to mention, all of Obama's other government-run giveaways.  In 2011, even an idiot knows the Obama deficit numbers are just too huge, requiring huge spending cuts or massive middle-class tax increases.  Remember, Reagan was promised by the democrat congress three dollars in spending cuts for every one dollar in new tax money.  All democrats lie.  Reagan was swindled, getting the exact opposite from the democrat congress including three extra dollars in new spending for each new tax dollar stripped from American taxpayers.  This Reagan lesson is proof liberals cannot be trusted.  In 2011, the USA has a spending problem not a tax problem.  Elected republicans need to brawl where progressives live and breathe.  Brawl on the left side of the argument.  For example, where are all the private sector jobs the democrats have been promising for the "most vulnerable" populations?  Counterpoise the liberal narrative.  Please learn the 80 year old progressive narrative.  For years progressives have accused the republican party of being the servants of the rich and powerful at the expense of the broader public.  The progressive 'social contract' is enforced at the barrel of a gun.  Elected Republicans need to drop this idiotic fixation on civility.  Brawl where the progressive foundation rests.  Private sector jobs or liberalism.  Pick one or the other because America can't have both progressivism and low unemployment.  If an average American has the slightest disagreement with the progressive social contract, desiring to use 'their money' to create private sector jobs here in America, progressives will send the police to put this evil 'capitalist' in prison, make sure to extract 'their fair share'.  Every totalitarian progressive in the democrat party learns the ‘bologna rule’ as freshmen.  For example, “How do you jam an entire progressive boloney into the American body politics?”  Answer: “One slice of boloney at a time, of course.”  Never forget, Ronald Reagan was a democrat for 25 years before Reagan switched parties, making his mission undoing liberalism.  Think inside the liberal decision cycle.  For example, reverse the ‘bologna rule’ because a 49% reduction three times reaches zero with less political blow-back.  Democrats will demagogue.  Think political jujitsu.  In counterpoise, demagogue the demagogue.  Gain-share the democrat demagogue, making the democrat demagogue defend 49% waste in every line item.  Attack the lack of private sector jobs with liberalism at fault.  In the budget, cut spending across the board up to 49%, never more than 49% in one year.  Every year attack each of the progressive straw-men - "A trillion is not enough money for government-run charity programs."  "There is no waste in the Planned Parenthood budget."  "Obama is axing the most vulnerable populations."  "Every penny in the public radio budget is wisely spent."  You cannot defeat what you don’t understand.  The broader public needs private sector jobs, jobs, and more jobs!  Pick one or the other - private sector jobs or liberalism.
