Democrats in full freak-out - "Bush is irrelevant to the public," said Celinda Lake, a prominent Democratic pollster. "It's not about Bush anymore and just seems political when you do it ... like democrats are ducking responsibility."

Progressivism is driven by the basest of human motives including greed, fear and hatred.  Obama's progressivism preys on the emotions of envy and resentment.  These totalitarian progressives in the democrat party keep common cause with the Occupy Wall Street [OWS] movement, the Nazi Party [NAZI], and the Communist Party [CPUSA].  Adding insult to injury, this progressive OWS/NAZI/CPUSA crew is packed full of raving anti-Semites.  Yet, elected republicans can't think how to make the case against Leftism.  For example, Rick Perry can't think of a better way of spending his valuable time than flirting with birtherism.  Elected republicans are just not that "in to" their days jobs, goofing around in the middle of a party to party political war over the preservation of personal liberty.  These "Republican Tall Men of October" are superficial, mush-mouthed, poorly prepared, fairies.  Elected republicans are poorly prepared, having not done enough thinking before hitting the campaign trail.  None of these elected republicans spend enough time honing their speaking skills or messages.  "I’d like to see the pro-Obama pundits make it more personal.  Hammer guys like Rove and Ari Fleischer with a shovel," a top democrat said.  The number of Americans who blame Obama for the country's economic duress is soaring by the day.  However, the far-Left is not willing to give up on Bush bashing because elected republicans are poorly prepared, basically incapable of making the case against Obama's totalitarian progressivism.

By Steve Benen - "At this point in the morning yesterday, it looked like the biggest political screw-up of the day would be Rick Perry’s latest Birther flirtations. As it turns out, though as ridiculous as this was, it was eclipsed rather easily.  Mitt Romney visited a Republican campaign headquarters in Ohio, fighting tooth and nail to protect a Republican measure to undermine collective-bargaining right. The GOP presidential frontrunner, however, aware of the polls showing public opposition to the law, refused to endorse the law his party is trying to save.  This one incident reinforced the worst of the perceptions surrounding Romney."
